Specialized High School Admissions

Under state law, admissions for prestigious Stuyvesant, Brooklyn Tech and Bronx High School of Science are based solely on a single standardized examination. The city Department of Education voluntarily uses the same test for admission for an additional five schools. Black and Latino students are underrepresented at these schools.
